IHM’s First Major Achievement: Establishing the Pan-African Wound Healing Association (PAWH), March 2024, in Tunisia

The Pan-African Wound Healing Association PAWH) was created by IHM following a proposal and strong encouragement from the Minister of Health, who emphasized the need to transform the existing IHM  AAfricq network into a fully recognized Pan-African Association for wound healing.

This initiative brought together presidents of leading scientific associations—already partners of IHM—as founding members of PAWH. Their collaboration underscores a shared commitment to advancing wound care, promoting excellence in clinical practices, and strengthening healthcare systems across Africa.
