Strengthening Community Health: IHM & PAWH’s Training of Trainers Program in Tchad

In a joint effort to strengthen community health systems, IHM International / IHM Africa, in collaboration with PAWH (Pan-African Women’s Health), launched a Training of Trainers (TtT) program in Tchad.

This first session, led by IHM, was designed as a foundation for future local training initiatives targeting healthcare professionals and medical students across the country. The aim: to equip frontline workers with practical skills and knowledge to respond effectively to pressing health needs.

The training was conducted by three distinguished international experts affiliated with IHM:

  •  Pr Amen Allah Messadi (Tunisia)
  •  Pr Abdul Touré (Niger)
  •  Pr  Siniki Fandabnet (Tchad)

Their presence brought diverse expertise and a strong regional dimension to the program.

The initiative was highly appreciated by the Minister of Health of Tchad, who recognized both the relevance and the quality of the training.

This marks an important step toward developing sustainable, community-based health responses. It reflects IHM’s ongoing commitment to capacity-building, regional collaboration, and health equity across Africa.
