Professor Rim Abdelmalek is a university hospital professor in infectious diseases at the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis, affiliated with Tunis El Manar University, and a senior physician at the Infectious Diseases Department of La Rabta Hospital.

She completed her medical studies in Sfax before moving to Tunis, where she has led numerous prospective studies and research projects. She has supervised many students at various academic levels—internships, dissertations, and doctoral theses—while continuing to care for patients and mentor younger healthcare professionals.

Her areas of interest include emerging infectious diseases, epidemic risks, diagnostic and therapeutic innovations, and the various dimensions of infectious pathologies.

Professor Abdelmalek is the author of numerous national and international publications and has held several leadership and advisory positions within scientific societies, national health commissions, and academic and hospital institutions.
