Pr.Dr Abderrazak Bouamra

Pr.Dr. Abderrazak Bouamra is a renowned Algerian epidemiologist with over three decades of experience in public health research, teaching, and policy advisory. As a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Algiers and a senior expert at the National Institute of Public Health, he has played a central role in shaping national health strategies and advancing evidence-based healthcare in Algeria and beyond.

Deeply committed to the principles of health equity and prevention, Prof. Bouamra has worked extensively on communicable and non-communicable disease surveillance, public health education, and the strengthening of health systems in North Africa. His academic rigor is matched by his dedication to mentoring young medical professionals and contributing to capacity-building programs across the region.

His vision aligns closely with IHM’s mission to bridge health knowledge and action between continents, particularly in the Global South.

His participation in humanitarian and social initiatives further reflects a conviction: that public health is not only a science but also a duty of solidarity.
